Part of that task is educating the public about what and how to reduce waste and recycle. Glen Nison has been a Recycling Outreach Specialist since 1989, before recycling became mandatory in New York City. He is an expert on the City’s recycling and composting collection programs. Glen has single handedly taught thousands of New Yorkers to recycle, training custodial staff and speaking at community meetings, apartment buildings, and seminars.

She has been diving with sharks for more than 15 years, logging more than 200 hours in the water with many different species and habitats. In that time, she has personally witnessed the devastation of the animal she cherishes, and so she has committed herself to the protection of sharks. She founded Shark Savers, a grassroots conservation organization dedicated to the preservation of sharks through awareness, education and action, with five other passionate shark saviors a year ago.
