Job Title: AMHS (Automated Material Handling Systems) Electro-Mechanical Technician
Job Type: Direct Hire
Reports to (Title): Lead Site Supervisor
Compensation Range: $20/hr to $23/hr plus overtime when needed
Other Compensation: 401k plan, full benefits package
Position Location: Fishkill, NY

Summary:
Sustaining Technician will operate and maintain AMHS system within a manufacturing semiconductor facility. Sustainer is to provide AMHS system support, error recovery, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, repair, corrective, preventative, and emergency maintenance, and/or adjustments necessary to keep the AMHS system at maximum performance and capability.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
1. 100% floor coverage of AMHS system in the FAB.
2. All work performed will be performed in a safe, organized, clean, and efficient manner.
3. Good housekeeping, safe work practices, effective communication, and adherence to Customer and work policies and procedures.
4. May at times be required to write, edit, develop, and instruct processes and procedures.
5. Required to perform work in a good workmanlike and efficient manner.

Additional information / requirements
Qualifications/Background Required:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
1. Minimum of 3 years experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing highly technical equipment with added bonus for having robotic and/or automated systems experience.
2. In-depth knowledge of electronics and electrical theory with solid mechanical skills
3. Ability to adjust and troubleshoot PLC’s is highly desired
Specific Tool/Process Experience Required:
1. Must have strong electronics and electrical knowledge with robotics and industrial automation experience preferred.
2. Experience in a semiconductor clean room environment is desired but will train the right individual
3. Knowledge and experience with Automated Material Handling Systems highly desirable
4. Strong computer skills are a must
Physical Requirements:
1. Must be able to lift, pull, and push up to 50 lbs.
2. Must be comfortable working at heights on ladders and scaffolding
3. Must be able to stand, stoop, crawl and bend for long periods of time
4. Must be able to work in confined spaces
Education/Experience:
1. AS in electronics/engineering discipline preferred
2. Must have at least 3 years electro-mechanical/robotics/automation experience
3. Field service and/or On Site Customer service experience a must
